Davemassey Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Hi guys and girls,New here and new to bikes, bought myself a sanya sy125-11. Was running when I bought it but recently I've tried starting it with no luck, I've changed the coil for a brand new one, new plug but I don't seem to be getting a spark, also when I'm turning it over the plug never seems to get wet so I'm assuming no fuel either? I've taken the carb apart and fully cleaned it, taken the kill switch apart and cleaned contacts...can anyone help? I'm at my wits end now!ThanksDave Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 start with basics has the battery gone flat are lights horn and indicators working if not chances are the battery is flat so check that first Quote

Grumpy Old Git Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Hi guys and girls,New here and new to bikes, ....., I've changed the coil for a brand new one, new plug but I don't seem to be getting a spark, ......... I've taken the carb apart and fully cleaned it, taken the kill switch apart and cleaned contacts...Dave If you are 'new to bikes', I assume you are a mechanic as a 'newbie' would not contemplate stripping and rebuilding a carb!No Spark - Check: Battery voltage - Kill Switch - In Neutral - Side Stand Switch - Ignition Switch - Coil - CDI / Contacts - Wiring Loom.Dry Plug - Check: Fuel in tank - Tap on and fuel entering Carb - Fuel exiting Carb - Engine not 'seized'.
