I've bought myself some engine bars for my triumph explorer. But after reading the destructions I need two service tools to fit them.

Service tool T3880377 and T3880062. I can buy the first one but the second is proving hard to find.

Anyone any ideas?

Local Triumph dealer will fit for £66 but if rather do it myself if possible.

Reading others experience of fitting the bars, they say they didn't need to touch the bolts that need these tools. But for all I know, their engines fell out the day after.

Read about a few owners doing that Stu. Might go down that route as I have a lot of old sockets from when my dad used to bugger about with old engines.

Here's a pic of someone else's home made version.

look easy enough

although I have always had better success using square bar cut to size and welded to a smaller socket rather than trying to shape a socket

Ah that's going beyond my ability mate. Half tempted to let triumph do it. I Really need to stop buying things for the bike!

there is nothing more satisfying than making the tools and doing the job yourself
