Hi

First post,I have just gotten hold of a 2009 Yamaha WR 125x and I need two pieces of advice if possible.

Engine coolant for this bike and radiator coolant.

The handbook pdf version is very vague on what I need to use and the location of both.

There are two diagrams one is located under the seat and the other at the front of the bike (forks turned to be visible)is this a filter/radiator cap and what is better to be used ?

I am sorry I should know these basics and the location to find them But I am very new at being around motorcycles.

I just don't want to pour the wrong liquid into the wrong location and begin my riding with the engine seizing or something.

After 10 mins of road riding a slight odour of metal burning is detected,it has not been rode a lot but has not been locked up somewhere to rot if you get my drift.

Any advice I get would be gratefully received.

Welcome to TMBF mate. .....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can. ........ 8-)

Normally the coolant is added to the expansion tank that is possibly under the seat ( it is on mine). Check the colour of the coolant already in the bike and try to top it up with the same colour stuff.......pre-mixed should be OK. .....
