Quentinhw2909 Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I was just wondering, is it possible to switch speedometers on a bike, so getting a whole new dashboard peice... if so, what would I need to do to change it? I want to change it from the dials to digital. Quote
Tango Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Check these guys out....... http://www.digital-speedos.co.uk/You'd need to determine what sort of speedo drive you have......and a decent wiring diagram for your bike would be essential. ...... Quote
Quentinhw2909 Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Awesome, thank you... Bit new to bike wiring, so how do I determine my speedo drive? Quote

Bigone1000 Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 I've just fitted a Koso speedo (DB-02R with Universal Indicator Kit) to my café racer, it does away with the mechanical speedo drive, you get an electronic sensor with magnets that can be mounted to the front disc. There are a number of options with the Koso, there are two temp sensors in the box, one for water temp and the other for oil temp (Digital speedos supply adapter to fit bike specific applications) the rev counter can be wired in a number of different ways too, from wrapping a pick up wire around the spark plug HT lead to tapping of the positive side of the coil.Wiring it all into the bike took me a few days (working a few hours here and there). Give a shout if you want more info.Rog Quote
