david16 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 HiCan I use the coolant linked below for Honda CBR125 (2016)? https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B002QR94A2/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1514023155&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=castrol+motorcycle+coolant&dpPl=1&dpID=41Ev5uoxosL&ref=plSrchThanks Quote
Tango Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 You're probably best off checking the colour of the coolant already in your bike and try to get the same colour......Most coolants are either blue, pink or green..... Quote
Guest Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Morning. What colour is the existing coolant? (Clue - the correct answer is NOT "a shitty, scummy, brown colour" or even "what existing coolant?" )The Castrol coolant you link to (and you can get it cheaper than that) states that it is meant for all motorcycles and scooters but as you know, there are coolants (EG - ethylene glycol based - usually green), coolants (PG - propylene glycol based - may be blue) and coolants (OAT - long life organic acid technology - may be pink). Some people do not recommend mixing them because it may result in the formation of sludge. That said, the Castrol coolant will probably be OK. If you can be arsed, do a complete flush and refill rather than just a quick top-up.David Silver spares do a Honda specific coolant which comes in at £4.95 a litre. I do not think any bike manufacturers are using the pink OAT stuff yet (but I stand to be corrected). Dare I mention it, what does the manual say? Quote
