oldmadbiker Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 hi all....ive got a bike with straight thru pipes and there way too loud...the problem i have is there both bent about 3 inch from the end..so ill have problems fitting a baffle in..so what i was thinking is making baffles with 22mm copper pipe....and bending them to fit around the bend...that way i might get a baffle 7inch long....anybody think of a better idea...is copper pipe ok to use...if i was in america it wouldnt be a problem cos ive seen baffles over there which are flexible made for bent pipes...ive recently ordered stuff from the usa and with the exchange rate and post it cost me a fortune so want to avoid ordering anything else from there..cheers all Quote
OwenN Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 You can buy an internal stub pipe baffle on ebay UK.This is not legal for inspection purposes, but is a little quieter than open pipes.https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Exhaust-Baffle/96382/bn_55196138 a good selection. Some have a built-in bend. megawatt Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 I wouldn't use copper in your exhaust, in can produce poisonous fumes. Use stainless, perforated tube wrapped with fibreglass. Quote
