Mrbubba Posted October 6, 2018 Author Posted October 6, 2018 Made it in to work in the pouring rain. Everything was soaked Quote
gogs01 Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 "> " ..... accelerate, turn in to the corner then get on the gas ..... " - doesn't sound like good advice to me Quote
emmajaneg Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 First of all...do not worry! I have only been riding for a month and i had my first ride out in the rain a week ago and honestly, you forget about the rain when your going at high speeds. All you have to do is relax - don't cling on for dear life! Relax your legs and posture and just think "I am not going to fall". Just remember that you are in control of the bike, and that you have every right on the road as everyone else - by that i mean take your time. If you are approaching a corner, allow yourself to slow down. Even take the entire ride slow until you are comfortable! Happy riding Quote
Guest Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Just remembered this vid I saw a couple of weeks ago @Mrbubba, dug it out for you. Demonstrates the calmness and smoothness you're looking for. Deserves more than the 920 odd views its had so far "> It would have been better if the bike had actually got above 10 mph...... Quote

dern Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 The most important thing I've learned in the rain or the dry is keep looking ahead. If you start to look just in front of the wheel for diesel, potholes, manhole covers, etc just push your view back up, out and ahead. Unless you go nuts your tyres will take care of most things and if you're not too close to the guy in front you'll see manhole covers in plenty of time to avoid them.Cheers,Mark Quote
