Lanceautoman Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I have a nice new pair of IXS Goretex gloves which are comfy, warm and keep my paws dry. The fingers are a bit slippery. In fact I stalled as the clutch slipped out of my hand. I obviously need to get used to them but can anyone advise a way to make them lesss slippy?https://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/buy/ixs-arctic-blaze-gloves-black/17702?fbclid=IwAR1_ebEiKUrmfCZNTOdhcaPSDyFP29oJ95ShOjta7iAgPKRt5K5w5boZ3j8 Quote
mikestrivens Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Yes, use them. I wouldn't use a sanding machine though to scuff them up. Quote
Lanceautoman Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 I'm sure I will bed them in soon. I just wondered if there was some kind of trick that may help. Quote
mikestrivens Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 A couple of hundred miles on the bike and they will be nicely worn in . Quote
Guest Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Rub a bit of wax on the fingers, beeswax or something Quote
Lanceautoman Posted January 21, 2019 Author Posted January 21, 2019 Thanks for the tip.I rubbed a bit of Renapur that I use on my leathers into the leather parts of the gloves. It's softened them up and they are nice and grippy now Quote
