Joeman Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 What's sort of cheap arse, tin-pot, cowboy garage sells a bike with just three months MOT??6months is usually the minimum. But the garage screwed up. The sales receipt proves you paid for a bike with 12months MOT and that's not what you received. As I said before, give them one more chance to admit they were wrong and compensate you somehow before hitting them with a small claims court case for the full purchase price of the bike as you still haven't received the item you paid for - a bike with 12months MOT.Easy to start a small claims case, can all be done online and doesn't cost much. BIKERDAD Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 I hope it's the 12 month one you.gotWhy will the insurance back them ? it is a drivers/riders responsiblility each time they use that vehicle on a public road to make sure that vehicle is legal to be used . https://www.gov.uk/legal-obligations-drivers-ridersBecause there in the game to make money and not pay out if they have to and there is a chance they can claim it back off someone they will . As he has a recipe to show he had 12 months mot and he only bought it 7 months ago then by understanding he still has 5 months mot . Why would he need to check if he got mot Hes not a clinical moron you have to be if you checked your tax mot insurance every time you went out on your bike or car .. The garage ARE AT fault they did not heed the deal so the garage insurance company can sort his bike out .the bikers insurance will demand it if they don't if it goes to court they will say to the judge the very same I just did he thought he had 12 months mot As he was told.... he only bought it 7 months ago here is the garage receipt.. they have no claim or way out of it.. and his insurance will have more chance getting money out of a business /insurance company at fault then a person.. as the garage insurance company will pay out its to much of a loss to go to court Quote
