Don't they have a bad rep for high maintenance, always found them a bit skinny when viewed from the front. God I'm picky :wink: But offer me one for nowt and I wouldn't say no

ALL SPORTS BIKES,ALL IN BLACK....PROB ALL PERFORM PRETTY SIMILAR,AND ALL LOOK SIMILAR.....CANT VOTE!

The 1098 has now gone up to £11,500. increase of £250.


interesting to note though on MCN site owners of 1098 rated the bike's value for money as 4n half stars out of 5.

Owners of the R1 rated it at 3 stars out of 5.


So which bike is expensive? :?

Yamaha seriously overprice their bikes for what they are. We tell the clients this every day but they're not the ones who set the prices. if you want a new Yam, wait a few months. The market is set to be extremely slack this year, there will be deals to be had. That's assuming that not all bike dealerships go under, I fear many will...

Bikes are seen as a luxury item. In times of near recession, 'luxury' item sales suffer rather a lot. So far I know of two dealerships in the east midlands that have given up. There may be many more yet...
