yamidt Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 hi there ive just brought this yanaha dt 125 1973 bit of a collectors had one when i was 17 many many years ago lol when i brought it started uo fine and still does but after after riding the bike for only 10 miniutes or so the bike just cut out for no reason once cold its starts back up and the ignison light is hit and miss some times can one shed light on whats happening please many thanks steve Quote
Joeman Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Take a spare spark plug out with you. When it cuts out again, pull the plug cap off, insert the spare plug, hold it against the engine and check for a spark. Try not to shock yourself! Quote
winston smith Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 Stab in the dark.....could it be a fuel tank breather issue? or, running for ten minutes without the tank breathing creating enough pressure imbalance to stop fuel flowing.Or maybe a fuel line/tap issue reducing fuel flow.? Quote
