Guest Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Arai arent happy with the testing. When a rider hits the floor his shoulder hits first followed by the head. The sharp test doesnt simulate real crash testing,so what was the point of it?.Areas tested on the helmets(around the side edge)are virtually impossible to hit.I still trust my Arai. I rather trust arais & shoei than any of the cheapo makes that came out unusually well I've a hunch that if the test had been better designed and tested several areas of the lids the leading brands would have faired better ... Guest Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Interesting that there are a lot of comments from people with expensive helmets that didn't score well.I guess it's hard to say how well the test is designed. I guess it's also interesting that only the expensive makers of helmet that are moaning. Presumably they wouldn't have done if they'd scored well..?In the meantime, what is the man on the Clapham Omnibus to do is he wants impartial advice? Quote
