Touing France

Hello folks I'm a knocking on 70 old fart of a newby to the forum. I had motorbikes in my youth and got gently back into it a couple of years ago with a baby g310gs, good bike actually. 

I am looking into getting a bigger tour bike for me and the Mrs to your France. We want to keep the cost down and stay in reasonably priced Gites. I guess some of you guys have done this in spades. It all seems a bit mind blowing. Any advice would be appreciated.

use one of the accommodation  websites like booking.com

its perfectly normal to see the room on offer before you take it. (or not)

 

choose a destination and go. I find it simpler to use the tunnel, but its getting pricey. (Tesco club card helps) or choose your ferry depending on where you're heading.
