Hi! I'm Pete and a returning motorcyclist after 35 years. Previously rode Puch Maxi moped, BSA 250cc, and old Honda 125cc. Never took my test hence having to come back through the CBT 125 route. Working twds doing tests maybe this year. Current bike is 2021 Honda CB125F, current intermittent problem: Engine management light coming on, flashes for 30 seconds then stays on and goes into get home safe mode. Stop the bike and restart runs normally but Engine Mngt warning light stays on. The light goes out after several cold starts. This has occured three times since purchasing the bike 3 months agao. The dealer is adament the previous owner probably overfilled the fuel tank and fuel got into the eco chamber causing a suggested fault of multiple misfires. They suggest that given time the chamber will dry out. I'm not convinced / dubious that overfilling a fuel tank will cause an issue like this. That in my mind would be a design fault. Any suggestions / help or redirection to similar issues welcome.
