  1. The light came back on today. I had a look under the seat to investigate the On Board Diagnostics Connector (OBD) but could not find one. I suspect Honda have done something naughty for the 2021 model as the garage where I bought the bike said they do not have the correct connector socket for checking the fault on this bike and directed me to the main dealer. I was going to buy a OBD2 module but wish to know where the connector is situated and if I can get a connector that fits this model Honda. Can anyone help with this?
  2. Hi I purchased the Honda 125F 3 months ago and the engine mngt light has come on three times in that time frame. The first time it came on it went into get home safe mode until the bike was stopped and restarted. The Eng Mngt light stays on until the bike has been restarted a few times and then it goes out. The second time it came on I took the bike to the dealer (still under manufacturers warranty), who stated that the fault code suggests intermittent fault multiple missfires caused by petrol having got into the Eco chamber (i think that is correct), as a result of somebody overfilling the fueltank. They said there is no fault with the bike and wanted to charge me for the time spent investigating and resetting the system. The third time the light came on, same scenario as before, the dealership are still adament that it is being caused by fuel in the Ecochamber and it will take time to clear / dry out. As long as the bike runs correctly after restart and the Engine Mngt light goes out after a few cold restarts can I continue as is. That is what I am doing but am very sceptical about this being caused by someone, (previous owner as I have still only filled the tank once after the first occurence took place), having overfilled the fuel tank. Does anyone else have experience / knowledge of this issue. Is there another more likely cause? My neighbour has a older Honda 125 and always fills the tank to top and has not had an issue. Thanks..
  3. Hi! I'm Pete and a returning motorcyclist after 35 years. Previously rode Puch Maxi moped, BSA 250cc, and old Honda 125cc. Never took my test hence having to come back through the CBT 125 route. Working twds doing tests maybe this year. Current bike is 2021 Honda CB125F, current intermittent problem: Engine management light coming on, flashes for 30 seconds then stays on and goes into get home safe mode. Stop the bike and restart runs normally but Engine Mngt warning light stays on. The light goes out after several cold starts. This has occured three times since purchasing the bike 3 months agao. The dealer is adament the previous owner probably overfilled the fuel tank and fuel got into the eco chamber causing a suggested fault of multiple misfires. They suggest that given time the chamber will dry out. I'm not convinced / dubious that overfilling a fuel tank will cause an issue like this. That in my mind would be a design fault. Any suggestions / help or redirection to similar issues welcome.
