Bought my son a from new a 21 plate sinnis terrain 125 cc air cooled , Have just put in a brand new engine supplied direct from Sinnis but can’t get the the engine to rev above 6000 rpm it cuts out and then comes up with emi fault P2301 coil fault to high, reset it does the same again , it also drains the battery of all power which I’ve replaced , apart from throwing a box of matches at it (lol) what’s next???? Sound like a shorting of the electrics/battery to me, particularly if the battery is being drained so fast. have you earthed it and the engine correctly to a fresh grounded contact? id go through every contact with the frame, check every wire going around the frame and to any connector going and the coil... Chinese bikes are rusty little things, had one myself, even a "premium one" was brown for it.... Quote
