Hi @Nikki and welcome to the forum.

No Idea, most of us are In England, so may not know, some live the other side of the world, like Scotland, or France.

Congratulations on the Harley..

I would start with the same place you get your driving licence, maybe they can help.

Hopefully someone who really knows will be along soon.

Hi I have inherited a Harley from my brother in the Uk .How do i go about registering it in Ireland

Thanks

If you're in the Republic, I wouldn't bother too much.  According to the media the Gardai have got more than enough to keep them occupied.

And if it's in the media ,it must be true !

Hi there welcome to the forum, as you are importing the bike from the Uk you have to inform customs when you import it then there are duties on the value of the used bike plus VAT on top of that. You will then have to register the bike in Ireland so you can get a road fund licence.

Your best bet is to go on to the Ireland gov site and read up on importing a vehicle and the hoops you have to jump through.

When working out how much the bike is worth try and get a few valuations from ads and dealers and a bit of research on that model as the lower the figure the less customs duty to pay. Good luck.
