Dinosourkisses Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 My Zontes was having issues with fluctuating revs making it not run right. I took the fuel tank of and cleaned the carb and air box and it had oil in it, the carb looked mostly clean. Put it back together and now it won't start at all. There's now a check engine light on and I can't find an helpful information about what could cause that for my Zontes. The spark plug looks clean but doesn't spark and it's not wet with fuel either even though the pump does still work. I assume it's more of an electrical problem than a specific part? I also intend to check the HT cable when I get a chance because I'm thinking that might be why it wouldn't run smoothly but would that even cause a check engine light? Do let me know if you need more information and I'll do what I can to answer. Quote
RideWithStyles Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 oil (as in how much?) can be from it either being over filled or a blockage usually. if their is check engine, probably from you not putting something back on (wire or pipe) or damaged it when re fitting it. the other thing is to check the fuses.
