Hi all, newbie here.

after some advice. My daughter bought a used lexmoto fmr 125 (fuel injected) a couple of months ago. It’s 6 years old and have had nothing but trouble with it. It started cutting out at junctions etc and eventually the battery died. It wouldn’t hold charge. I have replaced the regulator rectifier and changed the wiring loom. Since changing the loom, the beam light and left indicator light on the dash is on permanently on but the lights and indicators won’t work. The bike starts straight up no problem, just lights now an issue. Any advice would be great! Thank you, Steve

Hi Steve.

i be the first to be the barer of bad news and what other s will say….Chinese shite… buy once, pay forever more while you own it for your sins. I will try to help but holy it’s difficult even if you have the lost hope infront front of you.

ok to be productive:

It started cutting out at junctions etc

This could be injection, sensor, or air blockage in the tank through the breather that the pipe often get blocked through shite or the pipe is trapped… if you get hold of a bike ecu code checker for this bike (clue lots of eBay garage trawling) that might give clues as to why the bikes or thinks something is wrong?

other people will have suggestions and I’d check them all.

and eventually the battery died. It wouldn’t hold charge.

is that from having to restart the bike a lot too?

Many possibilities but if you have changed the battery to a good one then sounds like a draw or a shortage somewhere, if it has a immobiliser or alarm (even its own makers one) that will a piece of… suspect. The other if the grounds (earthlings) is compromised as mostly the frames where rust and grubby sespits of a factory that will have sealed the crap by the thinnest and crappest paint that even b&q excs would be worried to force to sell, the sweat of too many low paid, untrained and ill motivated employees bullied by ar*eholes before their being shipped to gullible westerners….sorry it still burns…

Good job and still worth doing even if that didn’t solve your problem…trust me it’s worth it, sounds like if the looms isn’t compromised then the connectors or relays m of the bike or the users control might have problems.

wow your half way there!  Sorry if this sounds off but like many others that drop in here, it’s the same big ass problems with these bikes that many like others are so problematic that it’s could be just one thing or loads of other little ones that wastes so much of peoples short time on these bikes that seriously test the best to madness to question WHY THE F…

other people will probably say it would be easier and better to burn it for the insurance claim and get a old Jap bike, hell even an french/Italian bike would be less hard work…owt else will do.
