Axholme Lion Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Quote Hello all, I am new to the forum. Haven't got a bike yet, still saving up. Hopefully get sorted for the spring/summer. Haven't had a bike for around ten years but looking forward to getting back into it. 2 Quote

Just paid for a new kitchen, so saving hard for the important stuff now! I quite fancy the Kawa Z650RS, should be good for me. I'm quite lightweight, so it won't be too big. Will be for fairweather commuting and weekend blasts. Previous bike history is kawa kc100, Gpz500s, Gpz600r, TZR250, Gsx600f, Gs500e x 2,CB400 super four, 2 x Vespa Px200 disc, Bonnie t100, Suzi van van. Bit of a mixed bag. 4 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 . Cool slightly but some nice bikes , sensible choice of bike. Quote
Axholme Lion Posted September 30, 2024 Author Posted September 30, 2024 Was also considering a Guzzi V7, but the nearest dealer to me have stopped selling them. Quote
RideWithStyles Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Lovely bike and was on the top 3 of my favourite choices at the time. Though with some unique quirks, charm and elements of risk. Don’t get me wrong its improved over the years if you were to get one , just don’t be surprised it could come with woes, reliably, dealers, back up, supply, lack of options outside its network etc that wouldn’t work for me. If this was a second bike of a summer use only then ok but strangely they dont cope sitting around in the garage for long. You could get a new but used example, find a really good independent garage that know them and still have a network then that will better than dealer source only, as they might know and willing to use better parts… Don’t let me put you off as its a great bike If your a particular person or lifestyle then it might be still perfect . 1 Quote
Axholme Lion Posted October 1, 2024 Author Posted October 1, 2024 I agree, they look really nice and a bit quirky. The local dealer pulling the plug kinda made my mind up. Never had a minutes trouble with any Kawasaki. I worked in the motor trade for many years, one thing I learnt was about Japanese reliability. 2 Quote
