RideWithStyles Posted April 27 Posted April 27 Just sums up what many including myself have feared for so long yet those in the company (including the parent owners) didn’t want to know… 1 Quote
Old and Withered Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I genuinely thought cfmoto would buy them out. It would give the brand a really good platform for the future but that video to me would suggest BMW the more likely to dissolve the brand and competition. I was looking at a duke 390 for my commuting bike but the uncertainty around their future put me off. That and the fact I couldn't touch the floor not even on tippy toes. Perhaps if they made shortarse friendly bikes they might have a chance. Especially if they're hoping to shift their stock in Asia and China where I would be considered average height. At least MV Augusta might survive. Hopefully long enough for me to get an f4 as a retirement present anyway. I don't want to ride it just looks at it all day. 3 Quote
bud Posted May 1 Posted May 1 So KTM is now ending it's dealer affiliation to CF moto. From next month dealers will only sell KTM models again. I wonder if they were losing sales when people were comparing prices? 1 Quote
Mawsley Posted Monday at 13:57 Posted Monday at 13:57 CF Moto won't be throwing bikes at dealerships unless KTM pay up front for them, that's why the affiliation has ended. Meanwhile, all companies interested in buying the brand know that waiting lowers the price - they're just sitting it out while the slow motion crash crawls to its denouement. It'd be a decent move for BMW, but I doubt it'd have an earth shattering impact on their bottom line. The Chinese companies on the other hand, the brand would finally give 'Made in China' a heft of legitimacy - I'd give serious consideration to a 690 that had a functional clutch and engine...and especially if it fed into the Husqvarna 701. 2 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted Tuesday at 08:10 Posted Tuesday at 08:10 With KTM, CFMoto & Terry chocolate, What a party. Orange bikes being made by CFMoto to be even more orange (through rust) and with some Terrys soft chocolate for taste (camshaft). Quote
