zee-659 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 So i just got into my first "Crash" wasn't anything too bad I was just leaning too far when turning into a stupidly narrow corner and ended up falling/skidding on the ground The bike fell on the clutch side and apart from the gear shifter bending (which someone else just bent back into place) and some scratches theres nothing visibly wrong with the bike. I checked the tires and they seemed to be in good condition, but when I started riding again the bike just felt more bumpy/unstable then usual. I dont know anything about bikes so I'm not sure what else to check but it felt like I was riding with a stone stuck in the back tyre. I managed to get home fine so I cant tell if im just being paranoid but was just hoping if someone could let me know what else I should check on Quote
bud Posted February 20 Posted February 20 You might need to align the front forks again. It's not hard to do. I'm sure there are videos on YouTube. I hope you are okay? 1 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Sounds not enough engine inertia (gyro) to help you, rather than leaning too far lead you to the drop. Pictures might be helpful…..straight on level with the head light or bars, side on and from the riders view. might have bent or damaged these- pictures will confirm. handle bar-clip on. forks or clamps. wheel. axle. Head stock, bearings. foot peg. tyre. might be lucky if you loosen them bolts, and then reset them, might go back as they were pre crash.if not at least you will know what is wrong. Quote

bud Posted February 24 Posted February 24 It's worth just releasing the pinch bolts on the bottom and bouncing it a few times. It's easy to do, and doesn't take long. 1 Quote
