TTMCT Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Hi all. I have just bought a 2013 CBF125 as a fixer upper but on removing the left side panel there is a missing component as there are four wires hanging there, two black ones paired together and two singles. I have no idea what is missing, any help much appreciated. Quote

Are the wires into a connecting block, or are they loose and twisted together, do they come from the main loom and are hanging down from it? It may be that they were from and alarm, or even just once part of a connector for a battery charger, or maybe someone had them running up to the handlebars to supply a phone charger. Maybe post a picture, there are a couple of CBF 125 owners on here. Quote
Capt Sisko Posted March 11 Posted March 11 (edited) Using a sort of reverse process of elimination, what on the bike doesn't work? Edited March 11 by Capt Sisko Quote
RideWithStyles Posted March 11 Posted March 11 All assuming its still the original loom and nothing added. Black ones at the front will be lights or relay. what colour are “the singles? they may have put an power point switch so they could power phone or sat nav for example while the bike is switched on, maybe a cheap alarm and immobiliser at one point? a picture will help. bob234 Posted March 18 Posted March 18 hi, i have a cbf125cc and i had a crash 2 months ago, minor damage (mostly aesthetic ) needed new lights but when i put the new ones on i found the polarity of my wires was backwards and the LED lights wont work. Help me please Quote
RideWithStyles Posted March 18 Posted March 18 What year? Because some years were filament bulbs while the later ones were LEDs, if you had fils and then put LEDs on you’ll need a resistor kit for it, hopefully you’ve not damaging them. Quote
