BikerBill Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Hello, I recently bought this motorcycle engine, it is currently seized and obviously needs work to get it into running condition, I have the head but it has many broken fins. It has a logo cast into the mag chain cover which is either SA or AS, in all my years I have never come across a motorcycle or engine maker that has this logo, could anyone shed any light on this? I have looked online but without any success. It may be British or maybe European? Any help would be much appreciated. Quote
Old-codger Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Hi Bill welcome to the forum, The S A stands for Sturmey Archer who most people will know from the gears on old pushbikes but many years ago they also made engines and gearboxes for motorcycles. 2 Quote
