yogi Posted Sunday at 12:39 Posted Sunday at 12:39 (edited) Hello all I ride Triumph America 865 EFI I am wondering if anyone can help me with a maintenance schedule like what o do, when and after how many miles and so on please. I am new to riding in UK and there are too many "experts" on YouTube giving different advices which confuses the hell out of me. Appreciate your help in advance. Simon Davey Posted Sunday at 13:36 Posted Sunday at 13:36 (edited) Hi @yogi It really depends on mileage etc.. If you're not doing many miles, then changing the oil and filter once per year is a great start. Then there's winter storage to consider, but with a fuel injected bike, that can sometimes just be filling the tank to the top with super unleaded. Have a look at at this, see if helps Edited Sunday at 13:38 by Simon Davey 1 Quote

V650 Posted Sunday at 16:37 Posted Sunday at 16:37 Would also be helpful to say what bike it is as some might go for a bit longer between servicing Quote

V650 Posted Sunday at 17:30 Posted Sunday at 17:30 Simon has kindly pointed you in the direction of the service schedule Looks pretty straight forward Check the tyre pressure weekly and condition of the tyres ( for nails 'screws 'cracks) Clean & Lube the chain approx every 200 Miles clean with Kerosene ( paraffin ) & old toothbrush then dry with a clean rag & lube with Gearbox oil EP90 Drip the oil on to each of the links and rollers and leave to soak for a couple of hrs ( might want to put a piece of cardboard underneath ) then wipe with old rag If you have a center stand I usually run the bike in gear to let any excess oil sling off then clean off the rear tyre of excess oil Change Engine Oil & oil filter every 6000 miles 10W40 oil Replace spark plugs +change the air filter every second service 12000 miles Others will be along to add to the basic maintenance 3 1 Quote
