Subject says it really - i'm looking for (reasonably priced) textile armour for my legs (w/ knee and hip protection) that i'll be able to put over my work jeans - for the commute.

I've had a look around, but yet to find anything that fits OK over the jeans. I'm a 32"leg, 34" waist, 39" chest if it helps... (and of course am wearing jeans underneath).

Is there any products that are designed for this - or perhaps could be recommended by you guys?

I just take my pants in a bag, doesn't help you too much though. I have seen some jeans with a small amount of protection built in, I don't think they had armour as such, more like just durable knees and ass.

I wear a pair of Buffalo textile trousers over jeans and over my work trousers, they were from Hein Gericke. About £80 i think. They also work fine on their own or over shorts etc.

Ive got Frank Thomas Aqua fore.

They have adjusters above the knee so you can slacken em for jeans, and tighten em to go commando...oooer.....

Hip and knee armour, removable insulated windproof liner, breathable, waterproof, damned nice kit.

Worked a treat thru last few weeks torrential rain.
