just a few questions that may seem nieve but i've started it with the choe switch in hight position but i cant get it to tick over idle in neutral is it just because its not warm enought. tbh i hav'nt spent much time yet as i've still to have it insured and the tax renewed.

i also intend to polish up the chrome and get rid of rust spots on it can anyone recomend me some products and techniquesd that would be good for doing that?

sorry guys still getting used to the posting system. it's confusing me.

also i reckon it might be worth buying a new battery for it the one it it was new but it was sitting idle for 4-5 months. is a good charger worth and investment or is it more productive to just get a new battery.

probably worth having 2 anyway one with a decent charge in it for emergancies.

Also can anyone give me a rough guide od minor maintanence and checks i should do on a bike thats been in storage. im gonah hit all the stuff listen in the manual tomorrow like il ect. deffo get some new stuff in there.

For rust i have found that ACF 50 does a good job of cleaning and protecting metal from rust so that might be a good start from the chrome.
