Heading down to southern Spain.

Hi all,

Planning a trip to southern Spain in August for 2 weeks. Am going to hire a Triumph Tiger. I have a VMAX but its 25 years old now and don't entirely trust it on that sort of distance.

Will be starting from East Yorkshire and getting the ferry from Dover to Calais.

Just wondering if anyone else has done this sort of ride and could give me any advice as its an absolute first for me...but by god am I excited!

Cheers,

Simon.

Hello Simon, welcome to TMBF,

Stick a post in the newbies section and say hello

Myself and 2 mates rode down to torrevieja and back a couple of years ago.

we went dover calais, and stuck to motorways. stopped twice overnight on the way there and twice on the way back.

works out at 500 miles a day if you stop in the right places.

Tolls are expensive!

I would highly recomend you cross the Milau viaduct!, awesome!

keep your eye on your petrol!! not that many services in some parts.

hope you enjoy it, I did.

anything I can help with let me know 8-)
