hi guys. sorry i havn't been around much, been a bit busy.

i do have a slight problem with the bike though. not sure if anyone knows this one, but it's worth a try...

got a new exhaust on the deuville. all nice and shiney. took long enough to get round to buying it. took the original off before my old man died. (about 2 months ago)

exhaust fitted, found the master fuse was blown. replaced it with the spare. Took it for a little test run, and all seemed dandy.

got all my gear on, started the bike, wheeled it down the path, and when i dropped the side stand to get on, it died. completely. ok, perhaps the master fuse has gone again. it had.

now every time i stick a new fuse it, it pops. i've tried loads of variations on putting the fuse in. all i can think of is that the HISS system is blowing it, or it would take out one of the other fuses.

any ideas would be really helpful, as i'm trying to get it running so i can get to work on it tomorrow. (don't like public transport.)

thanks.

is it stand related, could the stand circuit be blowing the fuse..?

sounds like you've disturbed something with new pipe or trapped a wire!

have a really good look around exhaust(s) especially fixing points etc!

bloody hell, has it been that long out of action!

well, i got it fixed! after spending a great deal of time taking the thing to pieces, prodding it with a multimeter and generally swearing, i gave up, and sent it to the local bike place for sorting.

2 days later, £170 and a new rectifyer. all working. great! now, if only i can find somewhere to store it in manchester......
