Did anyone's front brake work? Or is it just mine that's an absolute nightmare to get air out of!

Yep, mine's a complete twat to get the front brakes sorted! I think it's just "one of those things" with the older models (mines a 1999 600). I've tried everything - leaving a cable tie around the lever over night (which did firm it up for about 5 minutes - thanks Colin for that tip), bleeding them numerous times, using braided hoses. Yep, I think they're just born to be spongy! Must have fixed it on the newer models...

Looks like a great day out there! I'm semi-glad I wasn't there on my old(ish)-style GSXF. I'd've put everyone else to shame with my (nearly) retro chic  !!

Brilliant pictures yet again Ace.

How many people went to the wrong bike?

Luckily all the bikes had "extra bits" added on so folks could easily identify their rides..one guy dropped out at the last minute which was a bit of a shame as he was riding the new Black and Orange..with him there we would have had all the colours represented..

You would have been more than welcome to come along Pete and Bourton is only a stones throw from Redditch..we had a guy with a Hyabusa turn up on our previous rideout but he dissapeared over a brow of a hill near Salisbury at warp factor 9 and we never did see or hear from him again.. ..we tend to ride to enjoy rather than try and break speed records and occur the unwelcome attention of the local constabulary.. :D
