  2. Maybe next time I didn't expect anyone to be coming at such short notice, but i was hoping I nearly come off because of them pheasants grabbing too much brake when the little fhuckers wouldn't shift I'm really useless with directions,so i tend to use the simplest possible route when going anywhere
  3. Didn't get a chance to go that way as it was starting to rain and i forgot my waterproofs . But i'll definately be going there again Their was only one other bike there, some sort of cruiser thingy so no real bikers at all gonna get some grief for saying that
  4. Quite a nice ride out that is Awesome roads and scenery, and some of them corners can be taken at 120 was great fun. Bit boring having to go along the a69 though. I hit my reserve on the way there and had to do 15 miles on the reserve luckily imade it to hexham in time ... http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/DSC00322800x600.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/DSC00321800x600.jpg Should be a good ride out if theres a few of us going
  5. Leaving my hjouse now for hartside, should be there in about an hour. See you there if anyones up for it...
  6. You have to ask and it's mainly the old scottish bloke that does it.. Dont be shy with him,he's a biker aswell and pretty decent bloke imo. The problem with riding north is i'm from alnwick,so riding round that area isn't as much fun since i'm used to doing it . I've completely bored myself of seahouses now, although i like to stop of at craster for a cig, nice place that Anyone up for a meet up sooner, just for a ride locally and maybe a cuppa somewhere? I'm heading out today if anyone wants to meet up? Infact,i think i'll head up to this hartside place (if i can find it) Anyone????
  7. Never really seen the big thing about going flat out speed. If anything i think i prefer to stay below 100mph. BUT So far i done an indicated 130 on my bike. And an indicated 150 in my old car. Both times were just one off's to see what it was like. In the car,no problem at all On the bike i couldn't keep my head straight I'd much rather be leant over in a corner at 40 than flat out on a motorway at 100+.
  8. Ill give you a clue...it's in the thread title JK i'll meet up anywhere, not too fussed.
  9. You having problems with it? Let me know if you need anything fitted/fixed on it,i'm quite handy with a hammer (seriously,i can fix anything on a bike so lemme know, gives me something to do.)
  10. If you were after more people to join in the ride out, theres another forum for northeast members. A lot of top blokes on there, and i'm sure there would be more interest in the ride out if you posted it up on there aswell? [admin]I'll add the link to the forum here, but if this is not allowed then feel free to edit this post.[/admin] Clicky link.....northukbikers.co.uk
  11. I'm just up the road from you in walker... I'll ride down to blaydon and meet you before hand though? Or if you out beforehand for a ride about lemme know preferably when it's dry. My mobile number *********** . Just give me a ring anytime you fancy a run out. Dave
  12. I'll be there Anyone riding from newcastle area wanna meet up for the ride to sunderland to meet the others?
  13. So is there a definate date set for this yet? I'm in newcastle (east),but could meet up wherever. I've heard a lot about hartside but never actually been there, should be fun. Everytime i go for a ride out i either end up in whitley bay or seahouses, which gets a little boring after a while! Although, theres a burger van at st mary's lighthouse which does a perfect cuppa (and with bikers discount ) Sorry, just noticed the other thread
  14. I'll join in a ride out. Theres not enough of them up this area. Lemme know
  15. There is some of these chinese bikes which are built slightly better than others. Just to add.I have owned 2 chinese bikes. One off road style gy125.And one cruiser thing. The cruiser was horrible to ride, and constantly had bits snapping, and the gy's engine eat it's self up within 600 miles (and i did run it in properly),but that wasn't before the spokes snapped on the rear wheel (which collapsed on me while riding),the engine mounting bolts snapped while riding. There is a LOT MORE but i cant remember it all now.And thenn there was the electrics which were unbelievable. One day i'm sure these chinese bikes will built to jap spec, but in the meantime they are simply dangerous. Korean hyosung are a different ball game, nothing like the chinese. IMO the hyosung's build quality are on par with the jap stuff now.I would own another one of them anyday.
  16. 1st. Jack the bike up so the front wheel is off the floor. Then spin the wheel and you'll see what's jamming up. 2nd. Undo ALL the major bolts then put them back in with locktite.(essential) 3rd. Sell the bike as soon as possible, for whatever amount you can get for it,and never look back. 4th. Give yourself a real good kicking for buying a chinese bike! Sorted.

    Yellow or Blue?

  18. Cheers for the reply's . Mine came yesterday, but it was at least one size too big . (soon as i stand up they fall down ) Look the part though, and as matching textiles go they look cool 8) Will see how it goes when they send the smaller ones out. This is the worst thing about ordering onlie
  19. Thanks for the reply matey. Just one more question if you dont mind! Are the trousers still water proof without the inside lining? All these questions i'm asking,i only have to wait till tomorrow (that's if they do turn up on time!!! ) Cheers Dave
  20. I would imagine the leathers would give more waterproofing than the textiles imo! the textile jacket has a waterproof insert.(sort of like a little body warmer that zips into the jacket when needed) This means that the actual jacket get's absolutely soaked inside and out,but it does'nt go through the waterproof jacket inside.Which also means, the pockets are unuseable in the rain.(one of the best parts about the jacket is the pockets ) Now i would imagine the leathers would be much better in the rain,as there allways gonna be water proof right? being leather they should. And it means you dont have to mess about with all these zip in linings which i really hate.. Having said this,i never bother with the two zip in linings in my jacket, and even though i've ridden through plenty of rain i haven't been soaked yet (although the outside of the jacket get's completely drenched, but has never got onto my jumper) my main reason for wanting the textiles is they look cool,as does the jacket. But if they aren't waterproof their no good to me.... 21. Hi, Sorry to bring up a dead thread, but what's the pants like? Are they waterproof. Good fit? General opinions? I allready have the akito desert jacket, which is pretty good imo. I'm not sure wether to go for the matching textile pants or the akito leather ones? My jacket: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/akitojacket.jpg Matching pants: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/akitopants.jpg Leather pants: http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x13/fronterapics/akitoleatherpants.jpg Thanks Dave
