  1. I’ve found some more gear.

This time it’s old leathers that my partner used but again not for very long.

These are old in actual age, but not in miles. They may be useful to someone starting out, as get you by sort of gear.

jacket is size 40, which is weird, because it’s a ladies size 10 I’d say?

    the pants are size 12.

both have soft armour. Plus they zip together.

price wise send me £40 for the lot, plus postage, tenner?

    call it £50 including postage.

  2. I’ve been clearing out and found some bike gear that was used by my daughter.

These items have done extremely low mileage, in the tens rather than the hundreds!

She passed her CBT but a few days later an Audi driver nearly knocked her off, she’s not been on a bike since.

    Three items,

Red Route biker denim jacket, fully armoured with additional back protection.

Size 12 (I’ve got a similar Red Route jacket and really like it)

BKS ladies stretchy leggings, Kevlar lined, plus armour.

Size 8 (my partner has the same leggings and loves them)

Frank Thomas ladies textile pants. Armour plus removable lining for hot and cold weather use.

    Size XS

Im UK based (Manchester) willing to meet up perhaps?

I’d prefer to sell in one lot, but will split.
Price, well, just make me an offer, this lot is a few years old but like I said almost new.

Smoke free house, and stored in a warm wardrobe.

you’re welcome to text or WhatsApp me, for a quick response.

    Thanks

  3. Quite a few seasons ago, I recall seeing an episode which featured a trike sold in the UK.

I may be wrong but… I think they were German?

I’m trying to remember the manufacturer to let an old buddy know.

He’s considering a trike, but needs one you can drive on a car license.

    a long shot I know!

    any suggestions?

    thanks

  4. Hi,

the Manchester Bike Show used to be around winter time at Event City, Trafford Park.

however that venue has closed down now, there was a show this January, but I can’t find another one advertised for next year?

I assume the show has gone because the venue has gone?

     Thanks

  5. It’s been far FAR too long since I last went to a bike racing event at any circuit, and I’ve been to silverstone in the past.

However I’m pretty (absolutely) sure things have changed since I last went.

It’s a small group of us, taking our partners and a nice big camper van.

We are planning a 3 day pass, and Grandstand tickets.

Just wondering if any of you guys have any tips or advice on the best Grandstand or perhaps the camping and hook up points etc. Just anything I should be aware of before we go?

     Thanks in advance.

  6. Funnily enough I was talking about this to a student today!

it’s a vicious circle, your instructor is being paid and has trained to find constructive and useful criticism, so that’s his/her job. However nobody likes being looked at! The two clash.

I always notice it the most when we’re out on the road ride on CBT, we find a quiet side street to practice U turns.

however the student can sometimes get a bit stressed and perhaps put a foot down. Weirdly if I turn my back to talk to another student, just for a moment, the first student then does a perfect U turn!

it is definitely a psychological ‘thing’

All I can suggest is build up even more time before you go for a full test, and plenty of miles.

There really is no rush doing this.
Obviously, having an instructor who is aware of this problem can help a little, I always ALWAYS try to put my students at ease, perhaps having a laugh etc.

At the end of the day, it’s a full Mod1 and Mod2 your after, and if you think some instructors are off putting, wait till you get in front of the examiner!
(which is something you didn’t want to hear! Lol)

Its possibly the most stressful thing you’ll do, more so than a car test, getting married or buying a house!

So build up your time and don’t rush it.

  7. At the end of the day, you buy a bike for its looks.

I know this Yamaha will be an excellent bike, but god in heaven it’s terrible!

Even when they don’t sell any and offer them at £1500 discount, I wouldn’t buy one, never!
