  1. Hey All,

First step now done, Theory completed, now onto CBT. yeah i know its not a biggy. Small victory non the less :)

Just a couple things for people thinking about taking it.

I literally downloaded an android app called "motorcycle Theory Test +Hazard" was scoring 43-45 out of 50 straight away, think this is mainly down to 10+ years driving. booked test for a week later, before test i was scoring 48-50. so was confident on the theory side.

This app is good as it has the same hazard perception style videos and flags. So if your like me and never did the hazard perception before, this helps.

On your test the into video shows you how to do the hazard perception test, for me its bull. it shows a hell of a lot of clicks for everything thats moving. A friend told me he click too many times and it gives you a score of zero. So i thought id test this as i knew id done well for most of it.

I mainly used 7 clicks, on 1 i used 9 and this was allowed, then on another i used 11 and it gave me zero score for clicking too many times. so stick under 9 and your all good :)

end result 49 out of 50 for theory and 56 out of 75 for hazard perception.

    hope it helps someone.

  2. hey,

First off book you CBT and Theory.

If you've been driving that long then the Theory is easy. you will have hazard perception to deal with that is new, but easy enough as long as you don't click loads... if you have an android phone or tablet download Motorcycle Theory test + hazard. That is all you need to pass. includes the hazard perception videos and laid out exact same as the exam.

    CBT around £100

    Theory £31

do those then think about MOD 1 MOD 2 or DAS.

  3. cheers Davy, makes sense will look into that route after doing my CBT and theory. I used to ride a trials bike years ago, so not a total noob i guess.

Does surprise me how some people seem to do their cbt and a 3 day DAS and pass so quickly. yet then others say it took years.

Suppose I'll find out how hard it is soon enough. Time to get CBT & theory booked.

  4. Loving this site all ready super fast responses. :) i will never get any work done ;)

funds are not awesome at the mo but not bad, so don't really want to spend a fortune on a bike to learn on just to change it. would be nice to get one that i like the look of as well. obviously there seems to be some nice looking sports 125's but all just sound like scooters(unless people know of others that don't.)

I do love the look of sports bikes and thats the way i will be heading eventually.

The saturday option may be the way to go for me, the mrs is going to hate this ;)

  5. thanks for the speedy reply.

So when i take my cbt and pass the theory I will end up just getting a 125 as thats the max i can ride with cbt?

but i would need to buy another bike to take mod 1 and 2 on? or if i do a course then the centre would provide one i guess?

Oh and what 125 doesnt sound like a raspberry? seriously cant stand that sound. :)

    Thanks for the info.
