So, I wanted an everyday commuter to keep my gsxr's mileage as low as possible. Thought the Versys would be a good solution. 2008 model, kawasaki lime green, bought new. Some people still get confused that it's an adventure bike or a trail. Not even close. 90% street bike although it's a bit tall. If you take it easy it will take you to some medium gravel/mud roads. In fact a very good street bike, with nice suspension (I never bothered adjusting it-felt good for my 75kg) that wouldn't get you tired except for when in motorways . Very good handling and agile in tight up/downhill corners. Engine has a pleasant feeling, loads of torque, especially in 2nd-3rd gear (very easy to wheelie). The last two made it a very good bike for nice twisty roads. Travels easily with full load. Only disadvantage is that I got easily tired in motorways from the upstanding riding position (and I'm no tall guy). As said I bought it new from a friend merchant but never did any break-in as he "advised"/urged me. After 5 years and 27000 miles bike was still working great, not even the slightest failure. Finally I sold it just because it was too expensive to keep 2 bikes in my garage and also because I was a bit tired of the riding position (I'm a supersport fan) . Anyway, I have the best of memories from that bike that was like a usefull tool which would do many things very well.
