Anyone fancying a ride on Saturday and/or Sunday?? Maybe someone who knows some nice roads around Herts or further and can show me around? I haven't found any interesting routes yet, not that I have searched a lot. It can be for a few hours, it can be for the entire day.

...Definitely not. there are some people who can comfortably travel on their own & I take my hats off to them. Me (believe it or not )- I like to talk! & at the end of the day- I enjoy talking through the days events & plans for the following day. I enjoy learning new things (welding being an example) & If people achieve something further...then I enjoy it even more. (my jobs have always been in that line of work) Would you consider travelling alone or would you prefer a small/large group- if time/£ were no object...and to where?! rod Those last vids were worth the HOBGOBLINS (I watched the old stuff as well..Nice) I can really feel how much you wanted those cigarettes that Sniper brought you 24h later! To be honest it's been a long time I haven't travelled alone and I kind of miss it. If the circumstances are good, I enjoy riding with some specific friends of mine. On the other hand I like having my other half as a pillion. Pff, one can't have it all anyway... Where to, you asked??Anywhere I'd say...That's the easy part. For start I'd like to see the northern lights.

On Saturday there was the NG Road Racing club championship at Oulton Park... and i asked to be a volunteer marshal...they accepetd and even sent me passes etc... so...I booked a car to get us there...(by train it was 2,5 hours and we should be there by 7.00 am) On Friday afternoon i went to the car rental store to pick up the car...they take my license, my DEBIT card and...(f**k me)..f**k f**k f**k...they wouldn't let me have the car on a debit card because I'm new to the UK and still don't work (that wasn't written on the website, we even spoke to the telephone and didn't ask me)... ff*******k me... So, I was a bit depressed on Saturday... I should get a bike ASAP

http://www.ngroadracing.org/ Tomorrow at Oulton Park is being held the 3rd round (of 14) of the 2014 NG Road Racing Championship Series. Sounds interesting. Practice starts at 8.30 and the first race at 10.30 (it's got 10 classes racing 1 qualifying race and 1 "championship final"). I wish I could go.

Definitely can't afford staying there for 3 weeks Is it even worth it going for 1 day and watchind either practice or practice+races???

I'd like to visit the island this year. Haven't done any preparations at all and I didn't even googled it yet (but going to). The facts: - I'm staying in Bolton. - Don't have any means of transport. - Haven't booked anything. - When I go and for how long depends on costs. - I'd like to see some practice and a race or two. - We're 2 people, my wife and I. The questions: - Do I book a ferry ticket? Where from? - What are the stay options? - Do I have to buy a ticket or do I seat wherever I want (except for the stands)? - How will I move there? I know there is a bus, right? Do you know any costs for it? - Is it possible to rent a bike+gear there? Is it worth it? - Is anyone else going as well? Is he/she willing to share costs? - Any usefull advice is welcome.
