problem is all sorted now, the plank didnt seal one of the o-rings and another was missing plus nothing was sealing the plates to the cylinder head, was just metal to metal, so i replaced the seals at work now its better than ever!! but to the garage that did it gotta go back to college me thinks!!!

i'm gonna have a gander tonight, for the first time te missus isnt moaning about me playing with it, the bike that is!!!

i just spoke to him a minute ago, he explained what i already knew, it was hard tryin not to tell him he's a tit! but he wants it in to look at but will charge me to look at tho, but i'm brassic now its been done, but upon looking at it last night he's rounded one of the carb bolts that mount the inlet to the engine, so i've gotta beat a torx bit in there tonight to loosen it, also he put the fuel tap on backwards, so when i thought it was off it sprayed all aover me as it was on reserve, i dont think the guy has any idea, this thread is more of a rant lol

see thats what makes me think it is the restrictor, as the bore on the carbs are huge, say 40mm and the restrictor leaves a hole of 10mm its like the fuel is just building up?? then a load goes through causing the high revs?? the guy at the garage said he took it down the road and there is a slight flat spot, slight?? more like a huge flat spot, but it was fine before, but he's assured me its all fine? i wanna punch him!

Hey everyone, Just got my restrictor fitted( the insurance company asked so thought i'd better) but the bike is impossible to ride!!! i was livid with the fact i couldnt ride it, problem being when i started it the revs climbed straight to 5000 then slowly came down, but if i gave it throttle it choked and died, so trying to tweak he throttle enough to build the revs to move was fun!! i'm not sure if the garage had played with the mixture or idle god knows but within 20 minutes the carbs were off and i was fiddling so tonight i'll find out what the prob is, but has anyone had a restrictor fitted and noticed that there bike runs like a piece of **** ??? Mind you the bike is a zx9r and there coming down 110bhp, but the concept of the crab plates are the same??

well if your still up for it i'll be free, any sunday i do bugger all??

bump start, thats all i can think now, or pop the tank off, grab a lead and see if there's a spark, but dont literaly grab the lead

dont hold the starter on too long or it'll burn out, you probably knew that

I just had a similar problam yeaterday, parked up and ten minutes later the bugger wouldnt start, i just bumped it in 2nd down the road and fired straight away!!

has it got auto choke or manual choke?

bit late i know but kwaka's have a nasty alternator chain rattle and the idle is rubbish under 1500rpm but thats only really on the ninja's as far as i know???

only 12 miles!! was thinkin about tomorro too but depends how cold and if the sun is out, also if the missus wants too brave the cold

have you taken the key ignition off and cleaned it, had a problem like this on an old tzr and the rain just got in the ignition and messed it up, give it a go?

lol no probs just pop on ebay tap in honda cg ignition coil and away ya go, the honda cg and chinese type engines are all the same i believe but for a tenna you cant go wrong.
