  1. As above soak the broken stud with wd40 for a couple of hours then remove with mole grips and a bit of heat if needed.

As for the other side you may be able to drill it a little deeper ( be carefull ) then thread it out.

To stop this happening again refit exhaust studs with a thread on either end and brass nuts available at halfords and most motor factors.

If they seize again all you do is cut off the brass nut with your trusty dremel !! easier than the above problems in the future.

  2. Three month wait where in Halifax you taking it.

Give us a good description of what's wrong an I might be able to sort it, I'm only in Huddersfield and so not a million miles away and I'm cheap I work for beer lol

Failing that the guy who does my bikes is reliable an relatively cheap I can pass on his number

  3. I'm with Joeman my son has asperges (probs spelt wrong) and struggles, but still don't moan and carry on.

Sorry mate man up see the doc an quit the caffeine, I simpathise with anyone with problems but you got to get your head together and help yourself you know the problem but help it along anyway listen to your mum

  4. I got some cheap no brand ones from eBay the quality was quite good but the fit was poor.

On the TLR you have to pull in the clutch to start up but no go, the lever didn't have the piece on it to press the button behind it.

But for £15 it was worth a punt. They fit fine on the gsxr though.

I got some adjustable titax levers in the end, can't recommend them enough good quality and adjustment, no fitting probs bit pricey though think about £79 the pair

  5. I'm almost sure I had the same alarm on a previous bike with the same problems, iirc I took the alarm apart and inside is a watch battery about the size of a 10p piece I replaced the battery and end of probs.

The battery is there for the alarm to sound in the event of the bikes battery being removed so I'm told.

    Hope this helps.

did your alarm not disengage then? did it do 3 beeps when you armed it?

Yeah same problem it was more luck than skill. I was going to remove the whole system but curiosity got the better of me an I pulled it apart, changed battery and gave it a last go,bingo all was well.

Not sure but possibly the flat battery confuses the alarm pretty much like when you have a duff battery on the bike it gives weird symptoms.

It may be worth a try you just need a small torx bit as the screws are anti tamper, also you can get a strip of battery's for a quid at poundland.
