I ride all year, only thing that stops me is the snow, pair of gloves under my leather gloves help, 3 layers of clothing under my textiles do the job, I keep meaning to invest in some heated grips, one day I will but for now I soldier on [emoji106]

I gave up smoking 2 years ago, only smoked 6-8 a day. I vape and feel better for it, used to last 30 mins before I was knackered playing Footy now I last the full game 60 mins and that's not bad for a 42 years young, just purchased curve from my pal for a tenner he bought it from totally wick , great piece of kit [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I have same issue, I have a 27 mile motorway treck to work. My hands have really suffered this winter. Need to invest myself in some good winter gloves, heard heated grips are good, there are other types not just Oxford ones, ide check others out and read reviews.

Sounds like a plan to me, I'll put it up in the ride out section if anyone fancies it when we plan a bit more

Travel time as well, be on a weekend, first long ride out for both of us, was gonna camp but my Bro wants a bed because of his glass back lol, just want some nice long roads with great scenery

Planning a 48 hr ride out with my brother in the summer, just wanted to ask preferences from people regarding best roads in either scotland or Wales, we wanna stop in a hostel or something to keep costs down, so we're would be better Scotland or Wales cheers all

Well had the sv for 4 years had 22000 miles when I bought her, she was my work horse throughout, overall great bike.

Bad bits first.

I rode in all weather apart from the snow, even with regular cleaning and maintenance suffered with rust and furring of the alloy, throttle bodies is a common fault, suspension a little soft.top end tax bracket.

Good bits

Cheap to run, cheap parts on ebay. Easy to maintain, cheap insurance, can pick a decent one up for as little as £1200, fast enough for beginners and for more experience riders will give them enough joy, plenty of aftermarket upgrades, forgiving for inexperienced riders.

Like I said I had her for 4 years, in that time I had to replace throttle bodies £65 ebay, had 1 full service a year £90, I changed oil once or twice a year depending on milage I did, can't really fault much, sore arse n sore wrists after long journeys but nothing that bad.

started on the button every time, even after my off last November she started and run without issue. Still got her, was contemplating having her as a spare but the wife said no, got all the parts just needs a left foot peg so she will be on ebay shortly.

Hey biking is biking, it's about getting out meeting new peeps, we all start on 125s and the top speed on the roads most 125s can reach so I'm happy to ride out with anyone as long as there not on a bmx lol, bmwdave I'm not a knee down rider, just love getting out n about, lost my biker mate 2 years ago in a plane crash so only been out on my own last couple of years. Hope to meet all soon
