mod 1 training completed yesterday, Test today. rode up to the test centre in Gillingham with no issues, and waited for my test... watched the guy before me do his and said to myself I got this. everything went according to plan, and then I started my U-turn.... not enough rev's and 3/4 of the way around I felt it tip slightly (should have let clutch out a bit more to help straighten up) and i put my right foot down. Silently I called myself all the names under the sun, but carried on and blitz the rest fine. booked in again for friday will be out somewhere for a practice until i get it perfect every time on Thursday... only minor i got was taking the figure of 8 a little wide. in my defence, i do find the CB650 that im doing the test on a little heavier than I would like, I rode a cb500 today and found it a nicer ride... perhaps thats just me. any ways....

I work in the NHS which is pretty much a job for life. problem is you may work your bollocks off and get nowhere, someone who constantly cocks up gets promoted, normally to get them out of the role they cant do. hence "failing upwards" I worked hard for my job here, but i have been promoted and I watch the guy who they employed to take over my old role, and he does the minimum... management know this but do nothing as the HR system would take too long to get him removed. I did here of a guy who went sick for 6 months with a "back injury", and then took the hospital to court for compensation... so the trust was not in the news they paid him off. he came back to work and then 3 months down the line he goes off sick again.... Why work when you can scam a failing system.

decided to go get a new lid, as my trusty old MT thunder Stratosphere was getting a bit sweaty and the local bike clothing store was offering a discount if you traded an old lid. so I had a helmet i got which was too big so took that with me and got one of these for £108 CAberg Stunt in matt black http://www.bargainbikerbrands.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/430x430/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/c/a/caberg-stunt-matt-black.jpg internal visor, all the usual expectations i expected from a Caberg, except my MT is a medium and my Caberg is a small...but i do have much much more neck mobility and the sales assistant and missus said it fitted better... 1 happy bunny and with only 20 odd days until my test im quite excited

next to the A licence date, do you have any additional numbers? i havent passed my bike test, but i do have a full car licence and I have A licence with code 79 (03) beside it..... -
apply a small amount of choke when running.. if it makes it better your running too lean, if it bogs down even worse your running too rich.

Although the journney would be awesome and once in a life time, it would cost more than the bikes are worth combined, so i vote we meet up soona nd mock our bikes over beer and pub grub
-
well i wanna plan a riding holiday next year..... road trip to china then... if we go via taiwan i can grenade the Kymco factory too
-
why overtake.. if they are slowing as you approach queued traffic then slow off drop to 3rd and filter as normal. this is the thing i hate about my 125cc bike, no oomph to overtake effectively, so i normally just suck it until we get in a queue then i filter safely and enjoy my safe ride. cant wait for a bigger bike. roll on 27th july

Hello All, This review of my Kymco CK1 is based on the last 9 months of riding and maintaining. Firstly, some history about KYMCO - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kymco SO not Chinese, not japanese but Taiwanese with some japanese roots. Now the looks: Naked sports bike with some great colours. metallic green, CHampagne gold and metallic orange... I chose the Green.. I love green. I was first interested ion this bike before i purchased my previous Kymco Pulsar.... but i wanted a bike NOW, and got fed up with waiting for delivery... a lesson learned. Running in was fun, slow but fun. first service was £85 @ 1 month Next and all other services due at 6000km intervals or 6 months so easy to remember the bike is comfortable, solid and tbh i like it. not the fastest thing on the planet as its max's out at around 65, but it gets there pretty timely and sounds deeper than i expected with its four stroke. tank of fuel is a recurrent £9 and for that i get a weeks worth of commuting (150 miles ish) problems: None wat so ever. what have i damaged: well, i caught the pillion seat with my boot zipper, demounting the bike not impressed. I dropped the bike and bent the gear selector which cost £35 to replace, and recently i caught the exhaust stroud in an incident and that cost me £55 to replace and fit myself. Parts have been pretty quick, mainly less than a week from ordering. my opinion. for my first serious attempt at my age to get back to biking, I love it. solid, reliable, and above all predictable. every day i get more and more confident and lean more and more through corners, I brake a little later and generally enjoy the bike. My advice would be to always buy a new one, as you get a 2 year warranty and Kymco will pay for your CBT via a £100 rebate. the cost new, £1999 plus OTR costs. money well spent in my view, and now after 9 months, i dont regret this bike, I regret not waiting for delivery and ending up with a dodgy bike. Also Kymco themselves are extremely helpful and have helped with various questions I have emailed them. would I buy another one, yes, but I don't need too You guys should though. Wish they made a bigger version

She's probably fictional like his licence.. but why has he gone to a 50cc? thought you needed cbt for that too?

depends on what your looking for? i have one of these for sale 16inch frame - 700c wheels.. wanting £350 for it. got it through cycle to work and then damaged my leg so its been sat not doing a lot.... then i bought the motorcycle.. so its basically a new bike. http://haggs.nu/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Cube-curveprobluegreenman_dark-450x270.jpg
