  1. This happened to me literally a couple of weeks ago in a downpour.. never happened before and it's been wetter. Just bad luck and water had gotten in somewhere. Someone suggested carbs as they are so exposed. But it's fine now it's dried out.

  2. I agree with using a full can.

Making sure that chain is spotless on all sides of it CAN use a whole CAN... [emoji38]

Any cheap alternatives to this? Like tankbag said paraffin, would that be equally as good?

If I can't see my face it ain't finished.. its never been finished lol

  3. your using too much if your using a full can at a time

I could clean my chain about 4 times from a can of cleaner!

ok maybe if you have a badly abused chain you could use a fair bit but not a full can!

give the chain a spray and keep spinning the rear wheel so it doesnt all just drip off this helps it soak in then use a rag, brush or tool of your choice on the chain then give it another going over dry off with a rag and lube it up job done

there is no need to go mental

Can't take it off the wheel yet as I have no stand.. it was very very very filthy. I ride in all weather and they love a bit of gritting down my way, cheaper than fitting the pot holes. Since the last clean however it's staying clean looking for longer.

  4. So... I had all these slip issues. I loosened my sprocket cover yesterday to have a look. But didn't tighten it up as tight as before...... as if by magic no slip. Clearly he man strength has caused some kind of issue there. Rattles a bit now which is concerning.

  5. now this may sound silly but the chain is at the correct adjustment isnt it?and the front sprocket is in good condition?as it could be a slim (very slim to be honest) chance of chain jumping teeth on sprocket it has been known before.i will send you a pm with my number on it i am home 24/7 most of the time so i could check it over any time convieneint for you

I think this is what I'm now thinking.. its because quite noisy in that area when applying throttle. Have to be in enclosed spaces riding to actually hear it.

  6. Why fit any kind of pod filter?

The most you need to fit would be a K+N replacement to the standard airbox.

If this is for your Bandit 600, then the BEST performance mod you could do would be to upgrade the suspension.

This will enable you to ride the thing a little bit faster because your confidence in the bike will have improved considerably.

I have new springs coming for the front and it's going in to have the seals and we'll everything front fork related seen to. I've already raised the read by 35mm. That in itself made a HUGE difference to handling.

  7. Hi, my Motoroma SK125 has suffered a drop and I've damaged the area around the speedo and ignition. I've searched the internet for hours and I can't find what I need for the bike, and the garages in my area say they don't work on Chinese motorbikes. So I was wondering if I'd be able to put a speedo from another bike on mine, or is this not possible?

I've put images below so you can get a better idea of what I mean

Damage from sitting position ain't to bad.. you could live with that. The rear I'd look to bodge/custom something for that to cover. Maybe a nice square of plastic or mod a flyscreen to fit. Then you'd not even see it.

Must be really frustrating buddy but persevere!

  8. The reset option may be needed anyway as it idles pretty roughly at points and that's following changes to plugs, oil, filters and a fuel line cleaner. No idea when them carbs would have been stripped last. Knowing then I may have to replace the tiny bits it'll need rebalancing then wouldn't it. Surely that then would counter. It's long term at the moment anyway and I'm looking at lots of different things to throw money at. Doing my bit for the economy!

  9. Hope this helps.

You are not working for them are yo?

I'll have a sniff around ebay for these products (not literally though).

Defo want you to try it before I buy it lol. But at 20 I might take the leap. At least if you buy something from bnq you have someone to go and scream at if it burns a whole through you pavement..... Though the weakness of the shelf bought stuff makes that fairly unlikely.

This however... looks capable. Which makes me edgy.

  10. I found a big ol 5 litre tin on ebay which states trade and automotive use only. They also seemed reluctant to sell me it which kinda indicates it might be pretty hardcore. I'll link it when I get home. Tin looked ominous which means it'll probably be super intense.

 This is what am talking about!

Please link me... I know garages that will hook it up

Hope this helps. Not much info given. Go forth guinea pig!!

  11. I may or may not have done this staring at a puppy when I was very new to biking, with a little wobble...and again last year just going a bit too fast and not paying attention to people ahead braking, and had a big wobble....was impressed I held it tho tbh! I wonder if she noticed you perving then saw the almost-accident? Ego boost x 100 [emoji38] [emoji38] [emoji38] (or creeped out if she hates bikers!)

Everytime I encounter your red writing it makes my eyes go all weird and the screen looks strange. Is this your desired intention?

Also... guilty as charged with staring at things when I should be looking forward. It's shop windows that show my bike that get me.

  12. I most definitely would take you up on that offer.. it'd have to be in the near future mind as I currently work the weekends. I can't see how it'd stick though as the clutch is fully engaged prior to the slippage.

Guys at orwells who I use pretty much said it's fine.. its just old. I know after a ride to you there would he no slippage by the time I got there lol. People will start thinking I'm bat shit.

  13. Nitromors is very good but you have to be careful what you use it on.

Nah I have tried it, they changed the chemical structure as it was too strong, now it won't even strip fleas off a dogs bo**ocks.

I heard aircraft stripper is good on a blog today... Anyone used this?
