  1. Not very fancy...but I've used this many times over the years to clamp brake hoses when changing calipers and springs! (Back in my Impreza/boy racer days)http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12/13/31b0e44bce4e6d9b112fe06c64778a39.jpg

  2. I used to skate in my teens..but that was 15 years ago so this info will probably be out of date!

£80 should be a pretty good set up for a beginner.

Get a good pair of skate shoes..they're pricey...but its false economy to buy cheap ones as they wear out very quickly!

NMB bearings are the best to keep things moving, but if they feel too loose whilst he's learning Abec 7's have a little more resistance.

I used to use Santa Cruz decks, Pig wheels and Indy trucks. It's not the cheapest of hobbies (the bigger the steps he starts jumping, the more likely he is to break decks/trucks!) but good exercise!

Ive been known to rock my skills on my 5 year olds Angry Birds skateboard...he's always impressed, but his mother just rolls her eyes...

  3. The nobby little chav in McDonald's car park, who sat behind me (I was in the car) beeping his horn and gesturing. When I got out and walked over to explain that it was the car in front of me causing the hold up...he sh*t himself, did up his window and wouldn't make any eye contact!.... I genuinely wasn't even considering getting aggressive..but it shut him up anyway!

Decided to be a brave boy and have a go at replacing my chain and sprockets!

Does this look like enough flare on the rivets?..it's still moving freely at the moment so I don't want to spoil it and go too much! (And yes it has got copious amounts of chain wax on!!)

    Thanks!

  5. the cct will adjust on its own once the chain gets slack enough unless it has stuck, one way to see w hat happens is give it a gentle tap with big screwdriver or small hammer as it might be stuck and will pop free when tapped

Cool, thanks again! I'll have a go tomorrow.

  6. so I'm guessing by the way you have video'd it the sound is coming from the right hand side?

    clutch is on the left

I suspect the sound been the cam chain tensioner

as for the clocks you have a lose connection somewhere

So you can hear it as well?...I've had friends and a mechanic tell me it sounds fine!..I thought I was going mad!

I think I'm going to try the "one click fix" on the CCT and if it stops the ticking I'll eventually replace it.

Hopefully I'll find the bad connection while I'm at it!..the dial looks like a fiddly b*stard to remove though!
