  1. If the rules changed in Jan 2013 and you've not yet held a licence for two years, these rules were in place when you took your A2 test.

Surely your school, instructor should have been able to explain this then before you took your A2 test.

If you're under 24, look on the bright side. It means once you have had your A2 licence for two years, you can potentially get a full A licence at 21 depending on your age you passed A2.

If you're over 24, well all i can say is :P

I'm sure he did tell me but I will have forgotten. Anyway I am 21 and will be taking my full cat A test in September. Then it's a new bike for me ^_^

  2. So I have had an A2 licence for nearly two years. Under the bullshit, crappy, absolute disgrace of a licensing system that the EU imposed on us I should be able to go onto a full category A licence in September. My question is, do I have to take another test for my full category A licence? I was sure I didn't have to but having read a thread on another motorcycle forum where someone was on about their test, it got me thinking. So I looked it up here: https://www.gov.uk/ride-motorcycle-mope ... quirements and I read on the A2 category: "Progressive access route - 2 years experience on A1 motorbike and a further practical test" I refer you to the bold section. Does this mean that I have to do another test?

    Thanks

  3. Hello,

I have a 1997 Yamaha Virago XV535. I've owned it for about a year and three months and when I got it the pipes were in a reasonable condition, but they have been deteriorating. It has been very gradual so I didn't really notice it too much until I saw a picture of what they were like when I bought the bike.

As you can see in the below image they are still reasonably shiny. This was when i got the bike.

They've got a lot worse since then, especially the front one.

I've read that it could be the fuel/air mixture being too rich. If it is this what do I need to adjust?

    Thanks very much :)

  5. Hey, I'm a new member. Tired of riding by myself all of the time so thought I'd see if there were any meetups in the Yorkshire area. Luckily this was one of the first links in Google.

Anyway, I'm up for a meetup. I have a part-time job and am currently at uni with a three week break coming up at Easter in case anyone wants to organise a meetup for around that time?

I live in Leeds so I am pretty central.

Any dates people have in mind? :)
