I have a pair of the new Altberg Road Runners, beautifully made and 100% waterproof, I expect they last as long as I do.

I'll be able to get them re-soled or repaired whenever required.

I also have a pair of Altbergs from years ago, they have had new soles and a new gear lever patch on them this year and they're now better than new.

Just a couple of drops, polish it in - seems to last a bit longer if you can leave it a while before polishing but works all the same whichever way you do it

I use a big syringe to suck out most of the fluid in the master cylinder first but that just speeds up the flush it through method

It's probably an Optimate connector

You should be able to replace the crocodile clips on most chargers with a similar (opposite gender) connector

Don't listen to anyone telling you to start it up periodically or any of that nonsense, put it on a smart charger if you can, if not, give it a normal charge every couple of weeks.

Make sure you give the chain a good wipe around with an oily rag if you keep the side plates clean normally, it doesn't take much to rust them.

Note: Not for use with Apple products!

It managed to keep my iPad going running Nokia Here maps and charge my phone

I replaced with a Motobatt earlier this year as my old one, still OK, but was losing charge if left more than a few days.

It's hard to compare with another brand as I didn't try an equally new different one but it's never missed a beat and the cranking speed on the starter button is leagues ahead of the old one.
