I've worn those gloves for a week, I don't particularly like them because my fingers are too short and there's some gap in them.

I believe those are very good winter gloves, with a good amount of protection (hard armour on fingers, scaphoid, knuckles and soft for wrist)

and with thermal lining.

The sale price for new is 129, selling them for 100 + p & p

I have a fazer fz6 2004, on the user manual it's not specified, but I think I should have an H4 and an H7. How many watt ? I think 100 it's too much.

Hey, apologies if there is already a post on this, I couldn't find it.

So, I've been riding in the deepest dark roads of Scotland and I am thinking of upgrade my bulbs in favor of a more luminous one.

Are there any restriction in the UK (blue lights, too much lumens, ...)? Because I know in italy we have them, so, don't want to be fined.

Also, which bulbs do you recommend? I saw a bunch of them online, just want something that will not blew up.

Well, until today so far so good. My bike was put back in place, all seemed perfect.

But this morning the battery was dead, so I'm unsure whether he changed it and it is a faulty one, or if he charged me for a new one and just reload it. I'll bring him the bike to check this stuff and it would be hopefully free of charge.

Seems good. I never tried them, but they have 20 reviews on the link you posted, and they are all 5 stars. I would trust them!

Ok, nevermind! I found the speedo healer for about 50£ in an italian website. The question still remain.. does changing the clock resolve the problem? because that seems easier to me and I don't have any external product to add.

Get a marker pen and draw the MPH speed on it.

Where I can find them? I tried and I haven't found anything, the only one I found cost me more than the new clock.

£55 for a new clock?!? Mine is £145 for a second hand one and it's only an analogue dial

not new at all it's second hand, new it cost 200 or so. But, can't I do the same thing changing some cable or electronic stuff? damn, really Yamaha did two different clocks for different models? it should be really the same.

I brought my bike up here from Italy (fz6 fazer 600 2004) and.. i discovered I can't change the speedo from km to miles. I suppose I need to change it, but it cost a lot of money I don't want to spend right now.. is there any (cheaper) speedo I can mount on it? or is there a setting I have to change internally?

I also found the clock only for 55£ on ebay

Isn't illegal to mount a dark visor on an helmet on the road? I thought it was, and I spent some money to get an external visor system..

I was looking at some decent winter gloves as well. I came across the held winter 2. They don't have a thermal lining according to the sportbikeshop.

I restricted the choice to three. All damn expensive, but with decent protection: hard armour at knuckles, fingers and scaphoid (not 100% sure about the dainese however, I have inquired them)

Held twin gloves you can get them for £126 - hard armour at wrist, fingers, knuckles and soft armour at scaphoid

Dainese Ergotour gore-tex - £99 - hard armour at knuckles and fingers, not 100% sure about the scaphoid, I have inquired them. However seems more for fall/spring

Rev'it! Borealis GTX - 125£ - hard armour at knuckles, fingers and scaphoid

Another pair of gloves very good and warm should be the Richa Cold Protect (tested in http://www.visordown.com/product-features/tested-sub-100-all-weather-gloves/21734.html)

But they have a soft scaphoid protector

I've been searching something recently to replace my jacket. Halvarsson and Furygan are doing some really good stuff at a good price, or Scott Leather.

Under 200 is difficult though

you want to search gear CE certified, which has burst, slide and perforation certified until a certain level. Level 1 is OK, level 2 is good, in my opinion. Level 2 is a bit hard to find, I saw that ALDI has something certified level 2 at an amazing price, hard to believe get a jacket like that for 80 pound, but I want to pop in and see them.

I wouldn't worry so much about the 'safety' aspects of the gear they sell... all helmets for road use have to satisfy the european standard and the standard for gear is fairly stringent too. the fact that its non-branded isn't a concern for gear at this price point. the gear comes from the same factories that produce 'own brand' gear for shops and such like. they get the prices down to rock bottom by producing the gear during off peak hours and times in between other orders - pretty much standard operating procedure for Aldi and Lidl stuff. whether its kitchen equipment. garage gear or bike gear. I wouldn't expect it to last more than a year and that probably suits some people who can't afford a £200 helmet.. (for instance) but can cope with a £40 one that lasts a year or so. Their jackets and so on may not be the bees knees so far as waterproofing is concerned. but will be fine for the needs of the average biker on a budget who is more likely to drive when the skies open. certainly the gear is popular enough.. it tends to fly off the shelves almost as soon as it arrives. these can't all be 'new' customers. I would imagine most know what to expect and are replacing the Aldi gear they bought last year or the year before that is now past its best.

Regarding the helmet, since I have to change my Arai gp5 I'm thinking to buy an X-Lite 702 GP or HJC IS-17, both 5 star SHARP. And for the safety, if it's get CE certification level 2 is not just a matter of "we tell you that this is good", but the gear has been tested and validated. Do they really want to cheat on this? one can taking them to court for this. So I trust CE certification, which should guarantee at least a good protection. My textile jacket is still very good, I would buy something else only for the sake of protection. I can't enter anymore in my leather jacket though.. have to lose some weight

Are they really good? I saw a jacket CE certified level 2 for about 80 quid. I can hardly believe it, the cheapest I found are from Scott Leather and it's 280. I'll definitely go and check. Any of you owns some of their clothing equipment?

but.. It would be my first ride in this country and I never drove on the other side of the road before, and I'm not riding since 2013 due to some issues. I will also come with my girlfriend, so I'm not the best person if you like to go fast. But, yeah, I'm up to!

I was forced to a quick decision on Saturday and Bill the biker was the winner. Also, the only one who picked up the phone.. I'll give you some review, but I don't have much to do. I need a general check, plus the bike is out of battery. Nothing difficult really. I heard others good review about Girders, so I'll probably try him the next time. Thanks guys!
