  1. Really want bigger bars on my bike, I have a 125 shadow that's been bob'ed...

I'm a new rider and don't really know a great deal..

I've decided I want to put ape hangers on, just wondering how I go about it, I assume you need to some how extend the cables ?!

Any help or links to what I need would be great! Thanks!!

    Ps... That's my bike below

  2. You need to declare all modifications to your insurer, otherwise, you won't be insured. Most companies won't touch a bike that's been modified so extensively, especially as you're a new rider, so it'll be a specialist insurer for you. Good luck. ;)

Just done a quote on the same (model) bike, but not the exact one, with all the mods stated.... 10,000.. That's ridiculous... And that's just doing 500 miles a year...

    Help

  3. Step 1 - Give it a good tidy up! See if you can re-route those cables if you can and do something about that massive long speech cable (or whatever it is)

2 - It would look a whole lot better if you could get those bits around the engine and under the seat in to a box such as a dummy oil tank or battery box.

Don't know about the tyre availability but if you can't get some then there is tyre paint on the market.

Paint wise, I reckon it'd look pretty smart with a bit of matt black mixed in there. Nothing huge, just a bit of stencilling here and there.

Thank you god the tips, I do agree matte black would look tidy... Also yes, the exhaust, I wasn't a fan of that and was looking to change it, I just don't know how to go about it!! Any ideas ?

  4. If you don't like it, do one... Didn't ask for negative opinions did I ?

Police will crush it when you're pulled for that exhaust and you're found to not have insurance... White walls are the least of your worries! Haha

What's wrong with the exhaust ?

As I said I'm very new to this so I'm pretty ignorant to the laws lol

It will be insured. Just no mods declared...

Maybe I should look into having the mods on the polity!

  5. It's fair to say I'm a newbie to motorbikes, just turned 27 and I've done my cbt and put a deposit down on a bike I'm going to collect next weekend! It's a Suzuki van van that's already been chopped and dropped to look like a bobber!! (As seen below)

I'm definatelty going to white wall the tyres but I can't seem to find any white walls to fit it, does anyone have the answer... Do I need to change the wheels ? Or the tyres ?"

Also, if anyone else has any suggestions on what would look nice, go ahead and give me some ideas!!

    Cheers guys

PS: I've added a photo of my paint skills :D
