  1. Helmet back and fixed!
  2. I didn't know that, looks like I'll have to wait. Cheers for the info mate. Think you might have misunderstood that. You don't have to wait 28days, they should have replaced it immediately. No mate, it's the refund, repair or replace I was referring too. If they have the right to repair I'll have to wait.
  3. I didn't know that, looks like I'll have to wait. Cheers for the info mate.
  4. Cheers Joeman, The weight won't bother me and the speed, well it isn't that fastest 125 Cheers mate and thanks to everyone for your thoughts on this
  5. Cheers Hoggs, Just looked on ghost bikes and they have a few on sale for under £30. Only 10 min from me so will go check them out.
  6. Took me long enough to win the 'Can I get a motorbike?' Argument with the lady boss. To try and get a spare helmet so soon would see me swinging by my teabag from the tallest tree The shop is a small outfit. Two brothers and s couple of staff. So I don't want to put to much pressure as I would with a large retailer. But it's been great weather this week! 14 degrees today
  7. Can you give me your opinion on this please ladies & gents? I bought a Viper RS-V151 bluetooth helmet in the first week of Feb. Last weekend the microphone broke. So with it only being a month old, I popped back to the small shop that I bought it from. They told me they couldn't do anything other than send it back to the manufacturer for repair but I should have it back for Friday. Rang today and they don't have it back yet, might come tomorrow. I'm thinking of asking for my money back tomorrow if it doesn't turn up by midday. It's kept my bike off the road all week. What would you do?
  8. I got some conductive thread in the end. £2 on ebay. Decide to have a school night beer last night, woke up this morning to find I had sown it into my gloves. Ok, so I now know you should never drink and operate a needle but it works great! Full touch screen operation with a thick winter glove.

    ....ah balls!

To be honest the speedo is a little bit under. Tested this with my phone over a 2 mile straight road to give the gps as much chance as possible to calculate an accurate (or as much as is possible with gps) speed. Looks like it's 4 mph under. It's the millage I hadn't considered. Couldn't sleep last night and started thinking about the bike (I'm an old man, with bad wrists from years of drumming ) and it dawned on me. This keeway seems very well put together though.
  10. I've been all made up with myself for clocking up the miles on my new bike. The miles went by really quickly...in fact the miles on the clock didn't add up. Then I realised, the clocks are in KM-H (with MPH printed so small it may as well be braille). So the millage will be km too. Balls!
  11. I've been using HERE maps for a while now, ever since my tomtom live subscription ran out. It's free, has speed camera alerts, speed limit alert, offline mode (maps can be saved to external SD if your phone has one.) Voice guidance, traffic and hasn't sent me anywhere wrong yet. Disadvantage are only it doesn't do way points like Copilot. But it's free!

  13. Thanks for this tip, I tried it yesterday and for the first time I just enjoyed the ride without over thinking everything. In my first week of learning to ride so sometimes I act like a 3 legged skateboarding dead donkey. One thing though, I did make a tit out of myself at a set of lights when I got a little lost in the music and suddenly realised I was doing a little wiggle dance
  14. Only if youre a blind dyslexic with a fogged up visor. (No offence intended to blind dyslectics) I took a fence
  15. And the award for the most stupid question goes to OASIS! Turns out I get free breakdown with RAC with my bank account.
  16. Thanks mate, can you recommend a good recovery tgat covers punctures? I'm the worlds most puncture prone mudder ducker
  17. I think so?
  18. Anyone know if puncture safe works with tubed tyres?
  19. I have the keeway superlight 125 and that does the same. I thought it was just down to it only having 130 miles on the clock. Not sure if it's the same engine? Single cylinder carbed? I have read that the first thing you do with a keeway is change the plug if it's the original.
  20. looks something like this http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q531/bigralphie67/Facebook/Untitled%20Album/11539760_10153785222267923_3548769755512769598_n_zpsvu1fbxwc.jpg Bugger it, Race on! Starting at Dantes halfway house and finishing at the black bull..... Oh but the rules state that we have to do it backwards!
  21. Thanks for the advice ladies and gents.
  22. I'll keep my eye out for the back of your bike as it gets smaller going down the A6
  23. Thanks guys, feel a little bit less of a stupid sock cooker now. This bloody bike thing is addictive though isn't it? Been back half an hour and missing it.
  24. I guess it's my lack of experience showing through. Just put 100 miles on the new bike and the amount of times I tried to change up from top gear was bordering on the stupid. Also set off in second gear a few times. It's only a 125 so you can imagine it was a slow start.
  25. Hi folks, Anyone any experience of the aftermarket gear indicators on ebay? Do they work? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=272065807541&alt=web
