  1. That's a bloody good deal! What network?
  2. Ok google is ok but the samsung car mode is an overlay of this function that works a little better. Sadly as I'm a learner I need to select to avoid motorways in the settings, each time I set a new route. Also you can't add options such as avoid motorways, toll roads and ferries if your using a downloaded map in offline mode. I have direct access to some of the google maps team as I am a Google trusted photographer for the street view program. They said that they have been trying to work out a way for the offline mode to have options and it maybe in a future update.
  3. Totally agree on the voice commands, I do that with the driving function on my galaxy S5, works great for phone, text and music. Connected to my bluetooth helmet. The only thing it doesn't recognise is postcode formats. So if you say AA9 6AA the phone translates it too AA 96 AA and then can't find that destination. But your right, if I do need to enter a postcode I can just pull over and whip the glove off.
  4. Has anyone tried Nano tips on gloves? http://www.nanotips.com
  5. Hi if your using ultimate addons gear then your far better getting there designated charger and adaptor cable to suite your phone and water proof case. Note: There waterproof cases only accept there cable connection due its unique size. Also there chargers are rated at 2 amps which is handy, as some of the cheaper usb charges cannot keep up with the drain on the phone battery whilst it being used in GPS mode. links below https://www.ultimate-mobiles.co.uk/Vehi ... wire_Cable https://www.ultimate-mobiles.co.uk/Cabl ... pter_Cable You are a feckinh diamond mate. Thanks!
  6. Guys, thanks for all the useful info. Good to know this has been covered. As has beed said, for my own personal taste I would rather have the USB connection out of the way to help protect it from the elements. With a mini usb wire to where the phones mounted in it's ultimate addons case. Also the bike is brand new so would rather just wire to the battery in case I void some kind of warranty. Again, thanks to you all.
  7. That's a great idea mate thanks!
  8. Thanks for the info mate. I think I'll wire it direct to the battery with a marine grade switch and in line fuse that I have left over from when I did up my last R.I.B (boat).
  9. Ello, Would a usb charger fitted to a 125cc and a phone being used as sat nav, constantly connected to the charger (when riding) be too much draw on the battery? Especially at night with lights on. Thanks in advance.
  10. Cheers guys. That's good to know
  11. Just done my CBT with Wigan training on a very wet and breezy day. Had a great day thanks to the instructor, but I'm terrible with names! I just kept forgetting to turn the bloody indicators off!
  12. Gteat stuff! Ohhh I could crush a grape!
  13. Hi guys, I'm about to do my CBT and then jockey around on a 125 for a while. But the plan is to do the full test and get a new bike after. I'm 38, once I have taken and passed all tests what size of engine/bhp can I then ride straight away. Are there any restrictions at my age? Thanks in advance!
