Where the hell is the tightest point on the chain, is it usually the top in the middleish. and the play is whatever measurement half of it up half of it down? should the bottom part of the chain slap the protector/whatever it is when i push it up with my hand?

im tempted to say increases with revs but cant be 100%. ive adjusted my chain a bit looser maybe i overtightened it. altho the cam chain tensioner? who do i alter this where is it

why do the honda cbr 09 and the gsxer 09 look almost identical.

Riding along today and I notice a kind of whirring sound from either the engine or wheel not sure which was windy. I cant remember having this noise before so aint 100% sure wen it started. If i go faster it gets louder and the whirring is quicker. The sound is like if u got something heavyish on the end of a rope and started swinging it above your head faster and faster. No idea what it was. Took one side off today noticed my coolant bottle has got a leak and seem to have lost the cap on the motorway. not sure if this has anything to do with it but doubt it. Also at one point sounded like i was getting a clicking from the chain as it went round. Not sure what that was, overtightened? Any ideas on this whirring? ps. performance of the bike hasnt changed

mine had the same problem, luckily my mate altho laughing at me and calling me an idiot, just showed me the bit to turn and then all was fine

My waterproofs go under the pillion seat. If im going camping I got this huge one that ends above my head . coming back from wales last week I had a long sleeping bag tied to the top of it, made me luk like i had wings and was gona take off, buzz lightwear style.

is that waterproof?

sounds like u went for the pricey 2 piece sets they have. The leathers i was looking at didnt have armour other than knee pads maybe

is that the sat or sun? any1 fancy going im not far from it i went into heine greike (spelling) today they got a great array of stuff but its MILES above ebay in prices. I found the jackets really tight and uncomfortable but I think thats because they are stiff and need wearing in. From what the guy told me you need your exact size cos then it wears out a bit. Personally i might go for one chest size up. Theres some offer on u can get there classic jacket and trousers for about 160quid nt bad. Then again u can get a jacket on ebay for 20quid :S

so being a 41inch chest with a t-shirt on i should go for a 42 inch jacket or 44 maybe?

I know this was done recently but couldnt find it. Im gona get a cheapo leather jacket from ebay and want ppls opinions who have bought many kinds. Im 6ft 13 stone just measured 41inch chest quite large shoulders arms. I tried on my dads 50inch jacket and it was quite roomy and clearly looked too broad and just well...like when your dad lets you borrow his suit jacket!. I want the jacket to be tightish cos thats how the shud look. Was thinking maybe a 43-46 range, what you guys think? Also im a 34inch waist in jeans and a bit of belt so im gona go for 34-36 leathers and/or large textile trousers this sound right? Andy

hmm i put my hand over there is no blowing but it doesnt stop the engine. i didnt have my hand over for more than 30 seconds tho i was worried it wud blow up ha.

Now then. Im itching to get out on some long rides but for the minute ive limited myself to 30 minute burns up the welsh roads. I need to get some gear. I want a textile jacket, some black bike boots, black gloves. Ideally the textile jacket a green stripe but cant find any. What are gud makes, alot of boots on ebay are oxtar, gaerne, alpine stars. And what about jackets, ebay seems full of buy it now stuff from abroad. Are there any makes u cant go wrong with and whats a good price for some boots and a jacket.

oh rite so u can either just get it 'analysed' there then take it away and do it yourself. or they got ppl there that could fix problems with exhausts and or tell u if its f**ked!

Hiya guys. I have a new bike and this my first bike. Usually if your car exxhaust blows its a bad sign, unless its a silly race on thats meant to Now my bike exhaust isnt standard. its a carbon end can or something. When i close the throttle in most gears at mid speed i hear lots of pops as the engine is winding down, the pops as i call them come from the exhaust. Is this normal?
