the spokes are in 2 parts the wire bit is screwed into a nut of some sort and that nut is attached to the rim iself so you could say the spokes are in 2 parts and the air is leaking from where the spoke screws into the nut
-
too damn right! i'll be asking them to supply me with new tubes or at the very least my old ones
-
did a bit of looking up on this. my rims are marked MT which means they can accept tubeless tyres. if they were marked wm rhat means they can only take tubed.
-
must have got an apprentice or something! regards to tube sizes though. the front tyre is a 90/90 18 and the rear is a 130/90 15. is this the size of tubes i shall need or is there a slight difference in tube sizes?
-
ok so long story short. i bought new tyres for the bike which i mistakenly bought tubeless instead of tubed tyres. i got the tyres fitted and they leak very slowly out of where the spokes enter the rim. the question is can i fit tubes to these tubeless tyres or is there any other way to stop these leaking from the spokes?

had this happen to me on a dual carriageway roundabout yesterday! scared the shit out of me!!!

going to have a big piece of scaffold piping over the spanner for leverage so no chance of skinned knuckles. anyway back to the point. i bought a sensor off a 02 gsxr600. it was very cheap and looks very similar so what the hell! i know the gixxers are 6 speed and mine is 5 but the neutral part is all im worried about!
-
luckily enough i have a shifter spanner here which fits at the limit of its adjustment. big bar here also. i'll flatten the lock washer tomorrow and have a go at loosening it! i know its not good for the chain but i had to take it on a quick test drive today after fixing the carb
-
on the bulb contact there is only 2 wire and both are different colours from the sensor wires
-
What colour wires is that? I have a black blue and a pink one
-
And yes it did work. The light was working and everything but the bulb needed juggles about. I decided to squeeze the connections more.closely.together stupidly. Forgetting to disconnect.the battery. Now the light won't work at all
-
Chain and rear sprocket is.brand new actually. The front sprocket is yet to go on as I haven't got a 24mm socket

-
Well I was changing the bulb for the neutral light and I accidently shorted it out. Would this cause the gear position switch to not work?
-
It's bloody annoying as I can't leave the bike in neutral with the side stand down as it just cuts out. Is a neutral safety switch compulsory for mot?
-
Ok so my gear position switch does not work anymore and I'm looking for a replacement. Now finding these anywhere is quite hard so would one from any other suzuki with the triangle shaped white plug with 3 pins work?

right so i've got some leaking from my fuel tap. checked the gasket and it looks fine but the o ring for the lever is fecked. anyone know what size it is? no point in getting a full fuel tap rebuild kit when all i need is the o ring that goes round the lever itself. many thanks in advance

i have a manual for the bike. i set the float height from that. doesnt show what way the butterfly valve is installed though
-
yes i have done. i have a good bit of mechanical knowledge but im lost when it comes to carbs. float height was reset etc. im not sure about the butterfly valve there though. im not sure 2 holes were present when i stripped the the whole thing

-
i've had the carb completely apart. even had the butterfly valve/tps out. now when putting it back together i see 2 holes by the inlet side of the carb. i know one should be exposed but does the other be covered by the butterfly valve. i cant remember which way it goes it. it can go in of 2 ways
-
To save the trouble though would another carb say one off a gz125 marauder work ok? It has the choke on the carb body itself and a single throttle cable as opposed to twin cables on mine
-
Bike was running great. Now the carb just fills the cylinders full of fuel and overflows out of the vent tube. I need the carb set up I think
-
Seen one off a gz125 marauder? Manual choke but 26mm intake diameter. Single throttle cable? While mine is double
-
Ok so turns out.my carb is done for. So what other carb if any will fit the vl125 v twin engine. Carb that is currently fitted is a mikuni bds26.
