Beat you there had my Bergman 12 month done 6000 miles dropped her 4 times had 2 new sets of tyres and broke my thumb bone coming off the last time but still only gave her 1 good clean up and polish

Onesea I would book and pay the 1200 if I were you as I assume that also covers all bike hires as well but also the reason I say book that course as it cost me about 1500 which was cbt and das with two attempts at each mod. Although it seems to me I should have got lessons cheaper as I was using my own bike and insurance as he didn't have a large cv auto for me to hire I did my a2 on my own burgman 400

As Hoggs said bite the bullet and redo theory as it's a case of about £30 and 1 set of tests to pay for as opposed to paying for 2 sets of tests that will take a lot more of your time and money also it gives you the freedom of getting which ever bike you want

Well done on the pass mr old and your previous examiner sounds like a bit of a prat putting it politely and should have took you around the whole route as that is what you had paid for so take him to court for not providing the services paid for

As others have said depends on the examiner and the mood their in on the day also the day I passed I was the last test of the day for my examiner the last of 7 three others from my school and three from another school when I got to the test centre 5 had passed and one was out on test he got back and he told us he had failed I can't remember what on but it was his 2nd mod 2 failure and he is an ambulance driver and has been for the last 12 years but also just about most of my test was uneventful till about a minute before the end approaching a cross road and something told me to slow down a bit sooner than I had in practice rides and just as well I did as a car cut the corner doing about 40 in a 30 zone and even the examiner had a heart attack as he honestly said he thought I had handled it better than a lot of more experienced riders would have and that is why he passed my in the end when he was doing the paperwork

Nice one kammy but I would recommend buying a new helmet as no offence to your family or friends but you don't know it it's been dropped or how old it is and also a new helmet should be fitted correctly for you

And thanks guys also not bloody kidding about the real learning as was coming home at six tonight doing 40 mph and some idiot pulled out of the garage forecourt in a black car with no lights on right in front of me forcing me to swerve onto the other side of the road or I would have been bonnet surfing

Hoggs is right a2 as I did it on my burgman 400 and it only just had enough power

Hi ppl Just to update you all as this site has helped a lot and as mentioned I had my 2nd mod 2 today got 2 minors for hesitation 2 minors for positioning and 2 minors for right hand life savers fo in total 6 minors so I passed yay full a2 coming my way and already to hit the road for a ride out on the weekend

Hi ppl Just to let you all know the bad news had my first attempt at mod two today and failed got 2 minors for road positioning 2 minors for undue hesitation ( 1 at a major to minor junction and 1 for not pulling away whilst road was clear little did examiner know it was his car blocking my view as he wasn't pulled in to the curb behind the car I had pulled up in front of ) finally missed my right hand life savers on 3 major to minor turns so made 3 minors into a major and the last one was about 5-7 minutes before the end of the test and I was cursing myself as soon as I had made the turn. To tell you all the truth my nerves was shot as only had about 5 hours sleep as brain was working over time and I kept waking up and what killed me was I had to wait outside of the test centre as one of my instructors other pupils was on his mod 2 the slot before mine and as I went in he told me he had passed so extra pressure on me then and it turned out to be that bit too much also my learner period on my insurance policy runs out tomorrow and insurance is ceased immediately so have to see if my instructor can put my burgman 400 on his training school policy now. Also I now have to wait 2 weeks to retake my test and I'm going to insist that I'm not hanging around the test centre this time

Thanks Hoggs Just need to pass mod 2 and do this to all that said I wouldn't get my full license only Scooter Though wish I could manage A full manual big bike but due to ops no power in foot to control gears

Hey guys and gals First time post here and just like so many before me unless you're one that passes on the first attempt I passed mod 1 on my second attempt with two minors on Tuesday but my first attempt was a shambles five minor one major minors were three for missing the observations and one each for doing 49kmph on e stop and avoidance but my major was I put my foot down on mine and so many others arch nemesis the dreaded u turn So in short if you don't crack it first time don't let it beat you and you will beat it in no time with a little bit more practice
